Is there a way to say, "I am a normal person taking a chance?" Frankly, the whole idea of telling anyone who surfs all about myself utterly unnerves me. Not so much in the fact that I'm revealing myself (in a figurative sense) to the whole world (wide web) but in the sense that people are actually interested… it's nice to know that voyeurism is alive and well in the world today. lol
I was raised in a small farm town, left after high school – did the college thing, then corporate and the big city. I have a BA and an MA in French. I lived in Paris for a year while working on my master’s degree. I’ve traveled a lot - in the US and Europe. I am a doctoral candidate in curriculum development– my specialty is teacher education/corporate training. I’ve taught undergrad and graduate level university classes, worked in the legal, medical, and software development fields, from training instructor to training director.
Sounds like I'm stuffy or a prude, but nothing is further from the truth. Trust me!!!!! I’m comfortably retired, but for fun I design and sell jewelry and still do a little desk-side software training.
After my husband passed I moved back here to "hooterville" to be near my family. I've started dating again in the last year or so. Feels like high school all over. lol. I am a very happy person, laid back, and understand the importance of loving and enjoying life. I play a mean game of scrabble and Jenga. I love spooky movies. I adore sunshine and its warmth on my skin. The moon mesmerizes me, as does the music cottonwood tree leaves make in a soft breeze.
Belly dance is a longtime passion I enjoy, as is exotic dance (but I dance for myself - not professionally). I love Moroccan décor…very sultry, romantic and exotic… but I reserve it for my bedroom. The rest of my house is vintage cottage. I love to go metal detecting, scramble over ancient ruins, explore museums…love rodeos, monster truck pulls, sailing, camping under the stars and lots more.
My favorite band is Meat Loaf. Second and third would be Stevie Nicks and then Bon Jovi. I like country music, classic rock (60s/70s), 80s Hair Band rock, Celtic music, Moroccan, and more - it just depends on my mood.
Hmmm, what makes me unique??? I know enough useless facts to mingle with ease at a black tie social gala or a redneck pig roast. Howz’at?
My friends would tell you that I’m a complete paradox; different from any other woman you’ve met. Truth is I’m just still the same free-spirited 70s wild-child I always was. Once I get to know you and open up, enchanting magic and mayhem will ensue. You’ll be surprised by my intelligence and the depth of character below my (funny) sarcastic sense of humor.
Well, that was the cliff notes version. lol.
